I’m going to a going-away party for my cousin tonight.  He’s leaving this Monday for NY to start a job in the real world! It’s an awesome job that uses his UF Finance degree wth a big company so we are all very proud of him! And of course now we have someone to visit in NY!

These are cupcakes that I made for his going – away party.  You can see more pics of them at http://toutesweetcreations.wordpress.com

This is a pull-apart cake, which means its a bunch of cupcakes put together and iced as one large cake and you can “pull it apart” instead of having to slice a cake. This was for an 80’s themed party.

My creation

July 1, 2008 at 6:04 pm (Cooking) (, )

I’ve always been sort of a closet cook. I love to do it, but it’s all self-taught. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone to culinary school instead of college. Anyway, since I’m a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) I really feel this is the right time to get started on a business of my own. Because who really likes working for someone else. So, I think I’m going to put some effort into marketing myself and selling my wares. Unfortunately, all these years that I’ve made chocolates and cookies for the holidays I’ve never taken a damn picture of them! So I don’t have pics to show. This is the only one I have for now, and I suppose I will have to start creating for the sole purpose of photographing what I can offer. For now, this is what I have. Vanilla cupcakes with gumpaste butterflies and flowers.
